Day 2 of VBS at HHS!
Day 8
The team dove right in for another fun-filled day of Bible skits, dancing, and activities! After using Day 1 to “test the waters” and see which classes enjoyed which activities, the team came prepared and ready for round two — and it was a day full of laughter and joy!
One of the highlights of the day was Greg’s brilliant idea to introduce the students to cornhole! As you might remember from yesterday, the 6th graders painted the cornhole boards and sewed the bean bags themselves — and today, it was finally game time! The younger students got a turn to play too, and it turns out they were naturals! Their laughter filled the schoolyard as they cheered each other on and celebrated every throw.
Meanwhile, the classrooms were buzzing with creativity!
Shelley led the 4th–6th graders in a beautiful diamond art project.
Suzan helped the 1st–3rd graders design and make colorful bracelets.
Kylie worked with the PP1 and PP2 kiddos to decorate color cameras — then took them outside to “see the world in a different color,” literally!
The team couldn’t have asked for a better day. Everything flowed beautifully, and the smiles on the students’ faces made every ounce of effort worthwhile.
After school, the team made a quick grocery run to pick up juice and snacks for the kids’ last day of VBS. Though each day takes a lot of energy, the joy is endless. By the end of the day, the team is always tired — but it’s the good kind of tired, the kind that reminds you of your purpose.
God is so good. Each day, He gives the team the strength they need and fills their hearts with joy to pour back into these amazing students. May His will continue to be done in every smile, song, and story shared.
